Preview: Arsenal (H)

Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park for their first home game of the season, and will be hoping to add on their win at Norwich City last week.

For the Gunners, they’ll be hoping to bounce back from their opening game defeat at home to the hands of West Ham United.

Arsenal v West Ham United - Premier League

So, the Eagles will be fairly confident that they can give Arsene Wenger another loss on the record, despite the Gunners’ impressive record at Selhurst Park.

Following the loss at the Emirates on the opening day, Wenger said:

“It’s how you respond that makes your season”.

Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez are hoping that the Chilean international is fit enough to start this game, something he was unable to do against the Hammers.

For the hosts, they are without Maraoune Chamakh who is still out with a hamstring problem, Julian Speroni who has broken his finger and Frazier Campbell also struggling with a hamstring problem.

For the Gunners, Danny Welbeck is out with a knee problem and will return in September, Jack Wilshere is out with an ankle problem and Rosicky is out with a knee problem that’ll keep him out until November.

Here’s the likely line-up’s:

Crystal Palace (4-2-3-1): McCarthy, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Cabaye, McArtuhr, Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie, Murray.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla; Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey; Giroud.

matchday.
