According to Sky Sports, Bournemouth are still keeping tabs on Glenn Murray’s situation at Crystal Palace, and would only be able to sign the striker on a permanent deal.
The newly-promoted side have held talks with the Eagles regarding the 31-year-old, trying to work a deal that’ll take him to the South Coast. Bournemouth could do with another striker in their ranks, losing both their opening Premier League games 1-0 to Aston Villa and Liverpool respectively.
Reports were circulating that the deal in place was going to be a loan deal, but it’s believed that the only way that Bournemouth will be able to persuade Murray away from Selhurst Park is if the deal is permanent.
It is unknown as to how many playing minutes Murray will get this season, because of Alan Pardew’s activity in the summer transfer window, bringing in Patrick Bamford and Connor Wickham. In the season Crystal Palace got promoted, Murray was their highest goalscorer.
