Crystal Palace midfielder Barry Bannan is yet again being linked with a move away from Selhurst Park, but this time it would be permanent, following last season’s loan to Championship side Bolton
It seems as though the ex-Aston Villa man has run out of first-team chances at the Eagles, and according to South London Press , a number of teams in the English second division are watching the Scotland international’s situation.
Since Alan Pardew’s re-arrival to the Premier League side, despite it being not that long ago, Bannan hasn’t featured. The 25-year-old didn’t even make it into the squad for the pre-season tour of South Africa, so a deal elsewhere is more than likely.
Over the past two seasons, Bannan has featured 22 times for the Red and Blue side. To keep his fitness up, he has been training regularly with the club’s U21 set-up. And now that even Mile Jedinak, the club’s captain is struggling to get into the side since the arrival of Yohan Cabaye, any playing minutes for Bannan, if any, are difficult to see.
