Hull City manager Steve Bruce is keen to sign Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle according to BBC Sport.
Palace reportedly value the 25-year-old forward to be worth around £8 million.
Bruce went on to explain; “He’s a good player, but whether we can afford him I don’t know. We’ve made an enquiry”
The English striker has scored 18 goals in 54 appearances for the Eagles working out as a goal every three games.
The Hull city target has made it clear he wants to leave Selhurst Park but has already turned down a move to newly promoted Championship side Bristol City
Gayle joined Crystal Palace from Peterborough in 2013 for a then club record fee of £4.5 million
The young forward has yet to feature for the Eagles yet this season in games against Norwich City and Arsenal and is down the pecking order due to the arrivals of Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford and the permanent signing of Connor Wickham from Sunderland.
Crystal Palace face Aston Villa at Selhurst Park on Saturday, looking to bounce back from defeat against Arsenal last weekend; whilst Villa will also want to redeem themselves following their 1-0 loss at home to Manchester United.
