Bournemouth have submitted an improved offer to Crystal Palace for striker Glenn Murray, according to a report by Ed Aarons of The Guardian.
The new bid is reported to be worth £5milion, a £2million increase to the bid that The Cherries had rejected earlier this month.
However, manager Eddie Howe has made Murray his number one target, and Aarons believes that the increased offer could tempt Palace into doing business, especially as they’ve brought in two new strikers already this summer; Connor Wickham and Patrick Bamford.
Murray signed for Palace from rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, and he’s gone on to score 46 times for The Eagles, including 30 goals in 42 Championship games as Palace earned promotion to the Premier League in 2012/13.

Just a few days ago, Alan Pardew spoke about Murray, and insisted that his striker would stay as he “owes” the club, after he was brought back from a loan spell and given a chance in the Premier League.
“I brought him back from his loan (at Reading in January) and gave him the games,”
“So as much as we owe Glenn, he owes us for the platform we gave him in the Premier League; He did very well for me and I have a good relationship with him.”
