Crystal Palace made sure that Jose Mourinho’s 100th home league game in charge of Chelsea won’t be one the Portuguese manager will care to remember as The Eagles left Stamford Bridge with all three points.
The home side had the lion’s share of the ball in the first half but failed to capitalise on it, and the score remained 0-0 at the break.
It stayed that way until the 65th minute, where Alan Pardew’s men took the lead. Yannick Bolasie’s low cross was met by Bakary Sako, who slotted past Thibaut Courtois.
Mourinho responded to Palace’s goal by putting Radamel Falcao on, and he was rewarded as the Columbian striker headed home to level the game.
Most observers would’ve expected the home side to go on and win the game as they’ve done so often in the past, however those expectations were short lived as Joel Ward scored the winning goal just two minutes later.
