Dwight Gayle is edging closer to completing a move to Norwich City before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening, with The Canaries having made a bid of £8 million according to Ian Abrahams, although this doesn’t meet the asking price from Palace for the player. However, with so little time left in the summer transfer window, The Eagles could perhaps be persuaded to lower the value on the attacker.
Meanwhile, Dominic Fifield says that Norwich have already offered the player a four-year deal at Carrow Road, and are continuing to negotiate with Crystal Palace for the player’s signature. He’s spent all summer being linked with a move away from Selhurst Park, but did reject a move to Bristol City in August, which almost seemingly spelled the end of his chances of leaving The Eagles.
However, interest in the player was rekindled at the start of the day, and Aston Villa had a bid rejected for him. Since then, Norwich have shown an interest, and could offer him the chance to stay in the Premier League.
