According to the Stoke Sentinel, midfielder Mile Jedinak’s move from Crystal Palace to Stoke City fell through in the 11th hour on deadline day, following the failure of agreement about payment terms.
The hierarchy at the Britannia Stadium felt confident that a deal had been concluded, but in came the Australian’s representatives. Between the two clubs, the deal had been made. However, Jedinak’s agents issued a fresh payment plan for the current Palace captain who is currently sitting on the bench.

Shortly before the 6pm deadline and the issuing of the new payment terms, Stoke City decided to walk away from negotiations.
With this deal coming to an end, it also meant that Stoke hung on to Jon Walters, who handed in a transfer request following his five-year placement at the club. The Potters were adamant that before they sell, they have to buy a replacement – something that didn’t occur.
