Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams has joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a short-term loan deal, the club has today confirmed.
The 21 year-old will reunite with former Palace boss Dougie Freedman in a deal set to last until January 17. The Welsh international was handed his debut for The Eagles by Freedman when he was just 17, against Coventry City.
After making 68 appearances for Palace, the attacking midfielder has completed three separate loan spells at Ipswich Town. Williams has made 20 appearances at Portman Road across his loan spells scoring 2 goals.
The Welshman has recently returned to full fitness from a groin injury following a string of injury setbacks in his previous 2 loan spells at Ipswich Town.
Williams has already made several appearances for the U21 side this season as well as being named on the bench for Wales’ European Qualifying matches against Israel and Cyprus.
Alan Pardew is yet to feature Williams in his plans since taking charge of the club earlier this year.
