Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew was eager to praise the support from the home fans following the loss on the weekend to Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
The ex-Newcastle boss claimed there was an ‘electric atmosphere’ in the ground, despite the winning goal from the visitors coming in the 90th minute.
The Eagles are known for having fans that’ll constantly make noise, home and away. To put it into perspective, some would suggest that the South London club have one of the loudest fan bases in the Premier League.

They’ll constantly get behind their team, and this is regularly noted by the players themselves – which is always a positive thing. Support for footballers is signaficant and can usually pump them up to perform better and there’s nothing to say that this Palace side didn’t deserve at least a point from the game on the weekend – and maybe a penalty too.
Speaking to Croydon Advertiser after the game, Pardew said:
I must give our fans a special mention, what an atmosphere we create.
You have to take your hat off to our fans, it was brilliant.
