There was plenty of media speculation during the summer linking Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie with a move to Sunday’s opponents, Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old was being linked with a move to White Hart Lane in a deal worth £20m.
However, Alan Pardew confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the heavy speculation linking the winger with a move to Maurico Pochettino’s side was only in the media, and the two clubs didn’t talk regarding the switch.
AP on Bolasie and Spurs: There was a strong link in the media, but not between the clubs. That suggests there was no [concrete] interest.

So, with that move out of the window, it seems that Bolasie isn’t interested in leaving Selhurst Park, and that’s something that every Palace fan will be happy to hear.

Bolasie has been extremley important for the Eagles since the start of the season. When he returned from compassionate leave, he came off the bench at Stamford Bridge to a massive applause, and played well then too.
Although the reported deal to Spurs was only suggesting that the fee was £20m, Pardew had confirmed around the same time that, if he was to let Bolaise go, it wouldn’t be that cheap. The ex-Newcastle United boss had made a statement to suggest that only bids from £40m are acceptable for the DR Congo international.
Bolasie and his team-mates will be looking forward to their trip to Spurs on Sunday, hoping to return to winning ways following a narrow loss to league leaders Manchester City at Selhurst Park last weekend.
