Yannick Bolasie dedicates his goal to his father

It only took him 7 games of league play but Yannick Bolaise has finally done it! He has ended his drought of 0 goals and has scored today against West Brom Albion.

His goal came as a header in the 68th minute and proved to be the game-winner as Crystal Palace defeated West Brom by a score of 2-0. Yannick Bolaise said he dedicated this goal to his father according to cpfc.co.uk saying

I’ve seen a couple of messages on Twitter saying that I hadn’t scored here in two years so I thought ‘you know what, I have to score. That one was for my dad – I’m so proud.

Bolaise hadn’t scored since New Years Day in 2013 for Crystal Palace and today’s goal marked confidence as well as relive for the Eagle’s striker. Before the points being added from all of the matches of the day, the Eagles are currently sitting in third place in the table behind Manchester United and Manchester City and look to continue this form moving forward.

When asked about how he felt being in third at this point in the season, Bolasie answered with:

Third in the table sounds great but we know it’s early in the season. We just have to take things games by game and see where we go.
