With the Premier League and a number of other major leagues coming to a temporary halt due to the international break, Crystal Palace ‘ace’ Wilfried Zaha has expressed his thoughts on the two week stoppage period in an interview with Mark Ritson of the Croydon Advertiser.
Coming off the back of two consecutive wins, the Eagles go into the international break in fine form and a shed load of momentum. As a result of this Wilfried Zaha has spoken out in saying that he feels the break has come at an unfortunate time:
I would rather we kept the momentum going now, but obviously I don’t want anyone else coming back injured.
The Palace winger certainly has a point, as The Eagles’ recent results mean that they sit at a respectable and impressive fourth place – certainly a good start by all means!

Making for a great start – and also a wide spread interest in the services of Palace manager Alan Pardew – Palace have managed to secure victories against the likes of Chelsea, West Brom and Villa.
We’re going well right now so it would have been nice to carry on instead with a couple more games – but then I don’t mind a couple more days off either!
The international break can work in favor of some teams, but for some not so much. And it seems that for Palace the break has come knocking at a more than inconvenient time – at least that is how winger Wilfried Zaha feels…
