Crystal Palace: International Round-Up

Five Crystal Palace players featured for their home countries over the international break, with three of them playing for headliners Wales following their first major tournament qualification since 1958.

Jonny Williams and Wayne Hennessey featured for Wales in their 2-0 win over Andorra on Tuesday. Goalkeeper, Hennessey, kept a clean sheet and played the full ninety minutes, but Williams, who is just returning from a spell on the sidelines only managed 85 minutes of game time. Williams, however, was looking sharp and threatening whilst on the ball.

Midfielder Joe Ledley was an unused sub, but celebrated after the game with his Wales team mates, again showing off his impressive dance moves.

Tricky winger Yannick Bolaise grabbed his second assist in two games for DR Congo, as they won their two friendlies against Nigeria and Gabon 2-0 and 2-1, respectively.

Elsewhere, Papa Souare’s Senegal team mates slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Algeria. The left back did not feature for his national team.
