Newcastle United have reportedly made an offer to Crystal Palace to take goalkeeper Julian Speroni on an emergency loan.
The Magpies have had some bad luck in terms of goalkeeper injuries, having lost Tim Krul, Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot to various ailments.
Speroni has only recently returned from an injury himself and was the substitute goalkeeper in the recent games against Leicester City and Manchester United.

Wayne Hennessey is currently Alan Pardew’s preferred choice to start for The Eagles, with Speroni and Alex McCarthy battling just to see who makes the bench.
Pardew is reportedly eager to keep all three of his keepers at the club, in case they are hit with a similar injury crisis that the North East side are currently facing.
Time will tell if both Palace and Speroni will agree to such a deal, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Argentinian shot-stopper was keen to get some first team action.
