Crystal Palace’s chase for Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi has been boosted after Tottenham Hotspur put their interest on hold until the summer.
According to the Daily Mirror, despite Spurs holding interest, the club aren’t keen to deal in January.
That could open the door for Alan Pardew and Palace to make their move for the 22-year-old.
A number of clubs are reportedly interested, but a price tag of £15m would mean he’d be a club record signing at Selhurst Park.

The Belgian international is hoping to play a part at next summer’s European Championships. If he does, and in turn impresses, his value may even rise further. Spurs appear happy to wait regardless, however.
Of course, Batshuayi faces stiff competition in forward areas with Belgium, with Romelu Lukaku, Christian Benteke and Divock Origi also vying for places.
Pardew is keen to secure another striker, perhaps because of the Eagles’ slim goal difference.
The Londoners have scored more goals than 11 other Premier League teams, however, so it’s far from a crisis for the Eagles.
