Former Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has told TalkSport how he feels QPR striker Charlie Austin should join the Eagles as and when he decides to leave the Championship side.
Speaking to Alan Brazil, Warnock spoke about how he had already told Austin to join the Eagles and that the forward will wait until the summer to make his next move.
The former Palace boss was in interim charge at the Hoops earlier on in the season and during his time at the London side, he says he told Austin how he would be a perfect fit in Alan Pardew’s side.
I love Crystal Palace and I love QPR and I have said to him: ‘for me Charlie, the way you play, you will get opportunities at Palace’.
The Selhurst Park-based side are in the market for a striker after letting Patrick Bamford return to Chelsea after a failed loan spell with the Premier League outfit.
There is steep competition for Austin with Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Newcastle United also showing an interest in the striker who has found the net ten times in 16 appearances so far this campaign.
