Crystal Palace are looking to resolve their striker issue by making a move for Juventus and Italy star Simone Zaza.
According to ESPN FC, sources have claimed that the former Sassuolo star is club’s top target as manager Alan Pardew looks to strengthen his attacking line following the return of Patrick Bamford to parent club Chelsea whilst speculation continues to surround the future of Dwight Gayle.
The striker’s position has been one of Pardew’s biggest issues since taking over the side last January and despite signing Connor Wickham from Sunderland in a deal worth £7million in the summer the 22-year-old has only managed to score once in nine appearances in the Premier League this term.

And 24-year-old Zaza may prove to be the perfect ingredient to Palace’s recipe as the striker grows ever more frustrated with the lack of playing time at The Old Lady.
Having managed only 14 appearances in all competitions this season with his new club, Zaza was sensationally linked with a loan move away during the summer transfer window shortly after joining, as West Ham made an approach that was eventually rebuffed and it could now prove to be the right moment for Zaza to finally depart the side that does not seem intent on keeping him.
Competition is rife for a starting place under Massimiliano Allegri as the Italian finds himself behind Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata in the pecking order and with Euro 2016 looming on the horizon the striker will be keen to secure regular football if he is to have any hope of making the national team.
