Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has verbally agreed to a new deal at the club, according to Sky Sports News.
The Eagles boss has enjoyed success after returning in January 2015 to the club he made his name at as a player, despite their current indifferent form which leaves them 13th in the Premier League after a run of nine games without a win.
The former Newcastle United boss signed a three-and-a-half-year deal when he took over at Palace and the Eagles opened up talks with Pardew at Christmas time with the club sitting in sixth position in the league and despite their tumble down the table, the Londoners are keen to tie down the manager with new and improved terms.

But the 54-year-old is happy to wait until Palace are guaranteed to be safe for next season before putting pen to paper to the new contract.
Pardew said:
[Talks have] progressed to a level where we are probably agreed. I am just waiting to see whether we are still a Premier League club, and that’s nothing to do with Steve Parish, it’s more to do with me. When I get this team over the line I’ll sit down and finalise it. It’s agreed in principle.
Despite their woes in the league, Palace have progressed to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the weekend. They’ll face Reading for the chance to reach Wembley but first, attention must turn to the league and Pardew will be keen to improve upon the 10th place finish the Eagles achieved last year.
