Heading into the game at the weekend, Crystal Palace had not won a Premier League game since December 19th and the wait for a victory goes on after top of the table Leicester City took all three points at Selhurst Park thanks to a first half strike from Riyad Mahrez.
Despite a decent enough performance at home, serious relegation is starting to look on the cards for Palace now as they sit just seven points above the drop zone.
The Eagles worked hard to get themselves in the game, but Leicester’s stubborn defence thwarted them like they have done to so many other teams this season.
The win was the Foxes’ third consecutive 1-0 victory and despite the best efforts of Yannick Bolasie, Bakary Sako and company, Palace simply couldn’t make the breakthrough.
There were some very good individual performances from the Eagles players, but there were a couple of shockers too.
