According to HITC Sport, the Eagles are close to signing non-league striker Freddie Ladapo. The 23-year-old currently plays for Margate F.C. in the National League South. However, Crystal Palace’s initial attempts to sign the striker have been rejected. HITC Sport understands that Palace is still continuing their pursuit for Ladapo.
Last week, Crystal Palace loaned Corie Andrews to the Margate side, which opened a spot for Palace to bring in someone new. Over the weekend, the Crystal Palace loanee, Corie Andrews, started over Ladapo, who was left out of the squad completely.

All signs are showing a dream move for the young English striker to head to the Premier League side in the next couple of days.
Ladapo has been on trial with Crystal Palace over the past month. Most recently, the striker scored a hat-trick to help the U-21 side to a 5-0 win over Watford.

Freddie Ladapo spent his youth career with Colchester United, finally being called up to the first team in 2011. Following a huge string of loans, Ladapo transferred to Margate. The 23-year-old is eligible to represent either Nigeria or England. In 2011, Ladapo was called into Nigeria U-20 training camp for the preparation of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup. However, he wasn’t able to get his name on the roster.
With Crystal Palace needing a goal scorer to help end their drought, Ladapo could be a cheap answer to their problem.
