According to the Mirror, Crystal Palace forward Marouane Chamakh is preparing to return to his former club, Bordeaux. The report suggests that the French side has expressed intent on re-signing the Moroccan after leaving them six years ago for Arsenal.
With Alan Pardew preparing to clear out the clutter this summer, it is more than likely that Chamakh will depart the club. The 32-year-old striker hasn’t had the most impressive run ever since joining the Eagles. In 46 matches for the club, the Moroccan international has only been able to convert ten goals.

Chamakh has only appeared in 10 league matches this season for Crystal Palace, scoring a total of zero goals. The 32-year-old striker has only created a measly four total chances for his side.
In addition, Pardew has made it clear about his frustration with the player. After an inconsistent campaign plagued with injuries, Chamakh’s last appearance for the London club was in a 1-1 draw against Swansea in early February.
The report by the Mirror goes on to claim that it’s likely that Chamakh will depart the club on a free. Furthermore, the report suggests Pardew is disposing of Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland, who has been highly ineffective this season. The Crystal Palace manager will also be open to offers for Frazier Campbell, Jordan Mutch, and Alex McCarthy.
