Crystal Palace’s draw with Arsenal took them to 39 points and with their goal difference being a lot better than Sunderland’s, it all but confirmed their status as a Premier League club next season.
Alan Pardew’s side travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday night and it would be understandable if they did have one eye on the weekend’s cup clash with Watford, especially after they picked up six points from their last four games.
Pardew must decide whether he wants to rest some key players ahead of the cup semi-final against Watford or if he want’s to play his best eleven in a bid to climb the Premier League table.
Things are so congested at the bottom that a win could see Palace go as high as 11th, depending on other results.
With a game to be won, but with a cup semi-final on the horizon, it could be difficult for Pardew to select a starting eleven.
We’ve predicted what he’ll do.
Spoiler, we’ve gone for a slight formation change…
