With more than half an eye on the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final with Watford, Alan Pardew put out a much-changed team against Manchester United at Old Trafford and the performance very much resembled one from a team with a lack of cohesion or familiarity.
Palace went behind very early on after Damien Delaney put the ball into his own net after failing to adequately deal with Darmian’s cross.
Matteo Darmian got his first goal for United with a strike from twenty yards and that was enough to seal the win.
