Crystal Palace will face Manchester United in the FA Cup final after defeating Quique Sánchez Flores’ Watford side 2-1 in a tense semi-final encounter at Wembley.
Palace took an early lead thanks to a back post header from Yannick Bolasie and remained the dominant team throughout the first half and might have been disappointed to just have a one-goal lead at the break.
Ten minutes into the second half, Watford drew level when captain Troy Deeney headed home Jose Manuel Jurado’s corner.
Palace weren’t level for long, though. Just six minutes after Deeney’s equaliser, Connor Wickham’s header put the Eagles back in front and despite a barrage of long balls as full time approached , Watford hardly created a chance as Alan Pardew’s side defended resolutely right up until the final whistle.
We wanted to know who the fans thought Palace’s stand-out player was in the game, and to find this out, we set up a duel.
Our Duel feature presented fans with two players and they selected which of the two they thought had a better game.
We went through all of the players in a ‘winner stays on’ type vote, so, the player you clicked with the final vote was each fan’s personal Man of the Match.
Here are the results:
