In this week’s CPFC Podcast, Alfonso Greenbrook reviews the game against Watford by giving you his Match Review, Player Rankings as well as his ‘Man Of The Match’.
A Conor Wickham pinpoint header sealed an FA Cup Final place for the Eagles as they beat Watford 2-1 to set up a re-match of the 1990 final against Manchester United which is to be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 21st May.
Wickham’s 61st minute wonderful headed strike ensured that history would repeat itself in one of the world’s most famous footballing competitions.

The Eagles had led for most of the first half thanks to a sixth-minute header from Yannick Bolasie (who had fantastic game – Most people’s ‘Man Of The Match’) only for Watford to equalise 10 minutes into the second half with a 55th-minute header from captain Troy Deeney.

With the red and blue army (balloons and scarfs) behind them, Pardew’s side attacked their 2013 Play-Off Final opponents with a team back to full-strength following the 2-0 midweek loss at Old Trafford.

Ward and Dann returned from injury, with Puncheon, Bolasie, Wickham and Hennessey all coming back to the starting eleven. Ledley, Sako and Adebayor all dropped to the bench which also featured returning James McArthur, on his way back to full fitness.
