With reports of Crystal Palace preparing a bid for Wolverhampton’s Dominic Iorfa this summer, Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett played down the rumors, saying he has no interest in letting the 20-year-old defender go.
Further reports suggest that Crystal Palace isn’t the only Premier Leauge club in the hunt for Iorfa. A recent article from the Express and Star believes that Arsenal, West Ham, and Southampton are keeping tabs on the English defender.

Although the England U-21 international could make a huge move to the Premier Leauge, Wolverhampton boss Kenny Jackett explicitly explained that Iorfa wasn’t going anywhere, even going as far as to admitting that he plans on building the team around the young defender.
I personally wouldn’t want to see him go. I think we need players in to improve us, rather than letting players go.
I’m sure everybody at Wolves feels the same way as I do. We haven’t had any bids and like everyone at Wolves we want to improve the team, and build the team around Dominic, rather than replacing him.
Iorfa recently signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Wolverhampton back in November of 2015, keeping the 20-year-old at the club until 2019.

The England U-21 defender mostly holds the right-back position, however, after impressing at centre-back against Rotherham over the weekend, where Wolves drew 0-0, Jackett couldn’t blame teams for tracking the young defender.
It’s obviously always a possibility, whenever you have players doing well, there’s always that type of speculation. I’ll be as determined as everybody at Wolves – we want to improve the team.
Selling Dominic, we don’t think will help us.
It’s difficult in football to predict exactly what’s happening and once you get into the realms of very, very big bids, it would be wrong to say it can’t happen, because we’ve seen it happen many times.
Dominic Iorfa would be a great addition to any Premier League side. Although Wolverhampton hopes to keep the England U-21 International at the club, a huge bid would most likely persuade the club.
