Crystal Palace are interested in signing Danish defender Joachim Andersen in the summer, according to a report from Dutch news outlet Tubantia.
Andersen plays for FC Twente in the Eredivisie having made the switch to Holland from FC Midtjylland.
At just 19-years-old, the 6’3″ centre-back is still very raw but he’s broken into Rene Hake’s first-team as a regular partner for on-loan Brazilian international Bruno Uvini.

According to the report, Palace scouts have watched the Danish U21 international on numerous occasions this season and they are interested in signing him this summer.
Andersen’s contract with the Dutch side runs until 2018 so there is no chance of Palace taking him on the cheap, although it’s unlikely to cost too much to persuade Twente to let him leave.
With an ageing corps of central defenders at Palace, it makes sense for the club to be looking at some younger talents as a succession plan will need to be implemented in the near future.
