Crystal Palace still have an FA Cup final to prepare for, but that hasn’t stopped us from looking ahead to the summer and to some potential new arrivals.
With Euro 2016 taking place this summer in France, some of the most talented players in the continent will be showcasing their skills and some will be doing so with the aim of getting themselves a move.
Obviously, the high-end stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Thomas Müller, and co. aren’t going to sign for Crystal Palace any time soon, as much as we’d want them to, but there will be some players at the tournament who would probably be interested in a move to Selhurst Park.
I’ve taken a look at five players who’ll be competing in France who Palace should be looking to sign:
Andros Townsend – England
He might not actually make England’s final 23-man squad but he’s in the 26-man squad so that’s enough to see him included.
Townsend has been linked with a move to Palace for a while and his performances for Newcastle since his arrival have been very good. At worst, he’s an upgrade on Bakary Sako, at best, he can be a star player for the Eagles.
Joe Allen – Wales
There’s talk that Joe Allen could leave Liverpool this summer in search of regular first-team football and he would be a very good addition to the Palace side. He has improved a lot since Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield and with just one year left on his contract, he would be a relatively cheap signing.

Michy Batshuayi – Belgium
Batshuayi looks set to leave Marseille this summer with Tottenham and West Ham reportedly interested in him. The striker would cost a big sum of money but would be worth the investment and if Palace win the FA Cup and secure European football for next season, he’d probably consider a move to Selhurst Park.
Kevin Wimmer – Austria
Kevin Wimmer has found himself as a backup option at Tottenham with Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen the clear starters in the heart of the Spurs defence. Wimmer is only 23-years-old and is a quality defender who could be the natural successor to Damian Delaney.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – Iceland
Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson has been in good form this season, but there are rumours circulating which indicate that he could leave the Swans this summer.
If Palace can secure European football, the attraction of that, as well as the possibility of living in London could attract the set-piece specialist.
