According to Ghana Web, Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew has opened secret talks with Crystal Palace and West Ham United in order to avoid life in the Championship.
The report suggests that the two London sides have been in contact with the Ghanaian’s representatives to discuss a summer move.
Following a successful 2014/15 campaign with Ligue 1 side FC Lorient, Ayew joined Aston Villa for a reported fee in the range of £8 million that would keep the 24-year-old at the club for five years.
Ayew made 30 league appearances for the Villains this season, scoring a total of seven goals and registering no assists.

With Emmanuel Adebayor’s departure, Crystal Palace has been looking for new striker options to boost their goal tally next season. If Ayew was able to score seven goals while playing for a dilapidated Aston Villa side, it is tantalizing to predict how well he’d do with a strong Crystal Palace team.
Crystal Palace is not the only side after the 24-year-old, it is also reported that West Ham United are after the Ghanaian international. Although a move to West Ham may seem impressive, it wouldn’t be ideal for the young striker. West Ham currently has a slew of proven strikers, whereas, Crystal Palace are struggling to find a consistent goal threat.
Crystal Palace is in need of a new strike option and with Aston Villa having to sell players to avoid financial issues, the Eagles could sign Ayew at a cut price.
