In a recent interview, Crystal Palace defender Adrian Mariappa discussed his questionable future with the London club.
The 29-year-old only made an underwhelming seven league appearances for the Eagles this season. However, the Jamaican international was able to appear in Palace’s FA Cup final loss against Manchester United when he replaced injured centre-back Scott Dann.
Mariappa spoke about his future with Crystal Palace, he explained:
I’m sure my agent will be speaking to the club and whoever else in the coming weeks. I will find out in the coming weeks, what my situation is. But I’ve got internationals [with Jamaica] coming up. I’ll be concentrating on that.
Mariappa went on to discuss how his future did not affect his play at Wembley.
I just focus on the job I have to do. I do that day in and day out – so when it comes to matchday, my head is clear and I know what I have to do.

Mariappa has spent his whole career in England playing for Watford, Reading, and Crystal Palace. The Jamaican international joined the Eagles back in 2013, following the promotion of the London side to the Premier League.
It has been tirelessly reported that Pardew is preparing to ship out dead weight within the Crystal Palace team. With Adrian Mariappa only playing seven league matches this season, it is reasonable to suggest that the 29-year-old might be on his way out.
Mariappa is set to appear in this summer’s Copa America tournament taking place in the United States. Mariappa’s first match with Jamaica kicks off on Sunday, June 5th, at 5:00 PM EST against Venezuela in Group C.
