Crystal Palace have certainly been flaunting their financial muscles in the last few days, they made a huge Michy Batshuayi and have recently signed the pair of Andros Townsend from Newcastle, and Steve Mandanda from Marseille.
Their biggest show of strength was definitely their bid for Batshuayi, which was in the region of around £30 million, which took everybody by surprise.
But what’s really taken people by surprise is the news that they have had a bid of £12.5 million pounds accepted by West Ham for defender James Tomkins.

There had been whispers that Tomkins may leave West Ham this off-season, as he had fallen down the pecking order at the Hammers.
He made 32 appearances last season, the majority of which came in the Premier League, and helped guide the Hammers to seventh in the table.
Primarily used a right back last season, the defender showed his versatility, but he is a centre-back by trait.
The 27-year-old did not travel with West Ham for their pre-season trip to the USA and is set to sign for Palace in the next few days.
