Crystal Palace got their pre-season underway with a 0-0 draw against Philadelphia Union at the Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania.
New signings Andros Townsend and James Tomkins made thier debuts in the clash, with Townsend playing for an hour or so, and Tomkins replacing Scott Dann at half-time.
In a typical pre-season game, Palace looked a touch of the pace in a laclustre game with few chances being created.
