According to Tony Barret of The Times, Crystal Palace have agreed a fee for their number one striking target Christain Benteke.

The Belgian will travel to London to thrash out personal terms and undergo a medical as he looks set to bring a poor 12 months on Merseyside to a close.
The club-record fee of £27-million plus add-ons, which could take the final total to the £32-million, was deemed acceptable by Liverpool as it all-but-matched the fee which paid for him last summer.
The transfer will see Benteke join the Eagles as early as the weekend as he looks to rediscover the form he showed during his Aston Villa days where he scored 49 goals in 101 games.

Palace have lacked a natural goalscorer, relying on Connor Wickham and Emmanuel Adebayor to fire the goals last season. Alan Pardew will be hoping that the arrival of Benteke will turn around Palace’s fortunes after a tough 2016, which included an opening day defeat to West Brom last weekend.
Benteke will be disappointed that his time at Liverpool ended in failure, with just 10 goals in 42 games for Jurgen Klopp’s side. However, the 25-year-old will be hoping that he has his best days ahead of him as he looks to rebuild his career in London.
