Crystal Palace striker Freddie Lapado is set to leave the club on loan, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Lapado’s loan exit hinges on Palace’s ability to get a deal to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke done by the end of the transfer window.
The Eagles have had a bid worth £27m plus £5m in add ons accepted by Liverpool for the Belgian international striker who is due to take a medical at Selhurst Park in the next 24 hours.
However, personal terms are yet to be agreed and considering Benteke is currently earning £120,000-a-week at Liverpool, they could be a stumbling block.

Palace signed Lapado from Margate on March 30th for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year contract.
The 23-year-old has had a rather nomadic career, starting out at Colchester United making just six appearances for the Football League side in three-and-a-half years while spending time out on loan at the likes of Chelmsford City, Woking, Nuneaton and Hayes and Yeading before joining Kidderminster Harriers on a free transfer.
A former Nigerian U20 international striker, Lapado spent the 2014/15 season on loan with Margate where he scored 17 goals in 33 games and signed for them on a permanent basis in January 2015.
Alan Pardew invited Lapado to join Palace on trial in March 2016 where he scored a hat-trick in a U21 game against Watford before signing a two-and-a-half year contract.
