Hamburger SV are interested in signing Roma midfielder William Vainqueur, and Laroma24 say that talks have accelerated.
He has previously been linked with a move to Premier League side Crystal Palace, who find themselves bottom of the table after two games.
The 27-year-old Frenchman only moved to the Serie A last year, with Roma being managed by Rudi Garcia at that point. He didn’t make a big mark in Italy, only playing 16 league during 2015/16.

He started his career at FC Nantes, where he made over 90 appearances. In 2011 he signed for Standard Liege in Belgium, making 89 appearances across three seasons. He spent a season in Russia with Dynamo Moscow.
Hamburg have brought in some good players so far this summer. Filip Kostic is their most expensive signing so far, while they’ve also been able to get Alen Halilovic from Barcelona. Bobby Wood made the jump up to the Bundesliga from Union Berlin.
