Crystal Palace have been dealt yet another blow in their pursuit of a new striker before the window closes at the end of the month, as reported target Martin Braithwaite has put pen to paper on a new deal with Toulouse, the Daily Mail can report.
It was reported weeks ago that Braithwaite was one of many names under consideration for Palace as they look high and low to bolster their strike force but, given his new deal with the Ligue 1 club, a move for the Danish international will not be taking place this summer, at least.

The report claims that West Ham did make a £2.5 million bid for Braithwaite earlier on in the summer but their efforts to lure the clinical forward to East London were rebuffed.
Braithwaite bagged 14 goals last season for Toulouse and was pivotal in keeping them in Ligue 1 and avoiding relegation to Ligue 2.
