Southend United manager Phil Brown has revealed that on-loan Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss may be able to complete his loan spell with the Essex-based side, rather than having to return to playing reserve-team football with the Eagles.
This comes according to the Echo, who revealed that Phil Brown has held talks with the centre-back over his situation at the club.

Inniss has just been released from prison after successfully appealing a charge against him for assault.
Brown said:
“I had a meeting with Ryan yesterday but we’ve got lots of things to consider and discuss which are beyond our control”
“At this moment in time it’s not been decided if he can be in the squad and play this weekend against Millwall.” “But we’ve got to the bottom of everything which has gone on and we’re hopeful we can put this behind us and move forward.”

Brown insisted that he knew little of the details of Ryan Inniss’ impending court case when he signed the young defender on loan – and claims it was “a shock to our [Southend’s] system”.
Inniss is yet to make his debut for the Shrimpers so will be hoping that this can all be put behind him now and he can focus on making a good start under Phil Brown and push on into Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side.
