Crystal Palace made eight changes in midweek and paid the price by crashing out of the EFL Cup. However, they’ll hope that the rest given to some of their regular starters will stand them in good stead as they make the long journey up to Sunderland this weekend.
After a poor start to the league campaign, Palace have bounced back and won their last two games and will be hoping to make it three on the spin against a struggling Sunderland side.
Alan Pardew has a few decisions to make in terms of his defence and midfield. James Tomkins left the stadium on crutches after the Stoke game whilst Scott Dann appeared to suffer a hamstring injury during the EFL Cup loss to Southampton.
Yohan Cabaye made his return from injury in the midweek clash and is available for selection once again.
