Both Crystal Palace and Swansea City will hold talks with Greenock Morton’s 19-year-old forward Jai Quitongo in January with a view to signing him in the summer, according to a report from Simon Jones of The Mail.
The teenager has scored five goals in 15 appearances for the Scottish side already this season and he’s attracting attention from clubs in England.
Doncaster Rovers tried to buy him for £100,000 in the summer but Greenock Morton rejected the bid, but the teenager is out of contract next summer so will be free to discuss terms with Palace, Swansea and any other interested parties in January if he wishes to do so.

The English clubs would prefer to get him to sign a pre-contract agreement in January and pay Morton a small compensation fee in the summer but the Scottish club might choose to cash in on him in January.
If they do that, it’s expected that Doncaster would still pay £100,000 to sign Quitongo, it remains to be seen if Palace, Swansea are anyone else is willing to do the same.
