Alan Pardew’s side were punished for not taking their chances on an Autumn afternoon at the King Power Stadium, against a Leicester City who had been struggling for form in the Premier League.
Musa, Okazaki and Fuchs all put goals past the Palace defence, including Steve Mandanda and Martin Kelly who were both criticised for their performances, in particular the latter who was beaten easily by the Leicester attackers on a number of occasions.

It wasn’t until the third goal that the Eagles decided to put on a sustained attacking performance, after a small period of domination in the first half before hand. Yohan Cabaye, Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha were the influential players during the latter stages with Zaha putting in a cross for Cabaye, to give Palace a late goal.
Cabaye’s goal gave the players a new belief with attack after attack but an injury picked up by Andy King saw play stopped and the wind taken out of Palace’s sail.
