Crystal Palace goalkeeper Kleton Perntreou is seeking a loan move to a Football League club as he looks to continue his development, as per a report from the Croydon Advertiser.
The 21-year-old has been travelling with the Palace squad to away games, where he’s been taking part in warm ups, as Alan Pardew looks to get him used to life as a first-team player.
However, with three established ‘keepers ahead of him in the pecking order, Perntreou has next-to-no chance of playing any competitive games and as such, he’s been playing for the U23 development squad.
However, he’s looking to get more experience playing with established players and as such, he wants a loan move to a Football League side.

He told the Croydon Advertiser:
I think I need loan experience now at my age It’s good to play with the boys in the development squad and it’s game time, I’m not just sitting on the bench or something but the next stage for me is going out and getting as many games as I can. Then I can come back to Palace and just push for that first team spot.
However, he’s admitted that if no opportunity arrises where he can move to a Football League side, he’d rather make a move to a non-league club than stay with Palace’s U23 squad:
I would love to play in the Football League, but if it comes down to choosing whether to play for the U23s or the National Premier, I’d probably go for the latter. We’ll see.
