Crystal Palace ‘keeper Steve Mandanda has been ruled out of Saturday’s game with Manchester City.
Alan Pardew confirmed the Frenchman has a knee injury and would take no part in action for a “couple of weeks”.
Pardew also revealed, as expected, that Wayne Hennessy would deputise.
Steve has a knee injury, which will keep him out and Wayne will play. We don’t think Steve’s injury is too bad. Not exactly sure, but not more than a couple of weeks. Wayne’s up to speed and he’s in good shape. On that front we have a luxury.
Since arriving at Selhurst Park in the summer, Mandanda has made 10 appearances for the Eagles.
In that time, he’s yet to keep a clean sheet but he has looked fairly assured in goal.

Other injuries include Loic Remy and Paps Souare, who are both long-term absentees. Joe Ledley and Lee Chung-yong face late fitness tests ahead of the game.
Palace currently sit just one point ahead of the drop zone, something Pardew and the fans won’t be comfortable with.
Manchester City don’t represent the easiest of opportunities to change that, but Palace are well capable of making an impact in this game, especially at home.
