Crystal Palace have been linked numerous times with a move for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Dale Stephens but they now face competition for his signature from Scottish champions Celtic, as per the Express.
The 26-year-old has yet to enter talks over a new deal at his club, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season and it’s thought that Palace want to bring him in on a free transfer, but it looks like Celtic have similar thoughts.

The prospect of Champions League football may sway the midfielder into joining the Hoops, though with Brighton currently sitting second in the Championship, nothing is certain as of now and he could decide to stay if they get promoted.
If not, a move to the Eagles is certainly on the cards but they’ll have to convince him to give up the chance to play in the Champions League as Celtic are almost certain to be playing in it next year.
