Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is interested in signing left-back Paul Dummett from Newcastle, according to the Shields Gazette.
Palace have struggled this season and Pardew will be looking to make changes in January in the hope of turning their season around.
Dummett, 25, was given his Premier League debut by Pardew when he was Newcastle manager, so the pair have a connection.
Dummett has been plying his trade under Rafa Benitez in the Championship, where Newcastle look like favourites for promotion. He has featured 20 times this season for the Magpies, who currently sit top of the second tier.

Dummett has two Wales caps to his name, but hasn’t appeared for his country in over a year. He was, however, called up to the most recent squad for the World Cup Qualifier against Serbia.
The Eagles’ next game is on Wednesday night, when they face Manchester United at Selhurst Park.
Full back has been somewhat of a problem position for Palace and it looks like Pardew thinks Dummett is the man to solve the issues in that area.
