Jordon Mutch seems to be on his way out of Selhurst Park when the January transfer window opens next month.
Quoted by the Croydon Advertiser, Reading manager Jaap Stam has confirmed that Mutch is a player he is looking at ahead of a possible move.
Crystal Palace signed Mutch from QPR in January 2015 for a reported £5.4m and has gone on to make 35 appearances for the club in all competitions since but has found himself on the outside looking in this term with just three appearances under his belt and just eight minutes of Premier League football.
“Jordon is a player who is on the list,” Stam said on the matter.
“We are looking at our options. We are looking at players up front, midfield players, defenders as well.
“It’s good to have a lot of quality players. Jordon is one of those – but we need to have a look to see if it’s the best choice for us and whether it is possible financially.”
Having spent considerable amounts of money in the summer, expect Crystal Palace to look to offload some fringe players next month before doubling down on their investment.
