The first game of the post-Alan Pardew era takes place at lunchtime on Boxing Day as Sam Allardyce takes over for the short trip to Watford.
Many Eagles fans will travel to Vicarage Road and plenty more can watch on TV as they tuck into their turkey sandwiches, knowing that three points will be most welcome as Sunderland face Manchester United later that day.
Palace have simply not been playing well enough this year but will know that they’re more than capable of beating a resolute Watford side, especially with a new manager at the helm.
