Bakary Sako has struggled for fitness and first-team opportunities of late and he could be set to leave the club this month.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Championship side Birmingham City have launched a £4m bid to sign Sako.
Crystal Palace signed the winger on a free transfer after his contract with Wolves ended in the summer of 2015 and he got off to a flying start for the Eagles, scoring in both of his first two appearances for the club.
However, since then he has failed to score again and has struggled for fitness with niggling groin and muscular injuries which have limited him to just 27 appearances in 18 months.
The 28-year-old Mali international winger looks set to leave Crystal Palace in January with Sam Allardyce eager to bring in his own targets, including Swansea’s Modou Barrow who is high on his wishlist.
Sako proved he was a capable player in England’s second tier, contributing towards 74 goals (38 goals, 36 assists) in 124 appearances for Wolves between 2012 and 2015 and would clearly make a great signing for any Championship club, but the Premier League might’ve been a step too far.
