Crystal Palace are the latest club to make their interest know in highly-rated Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep this month, according to L’Equipe (h/t Sport Witness).
Sam Allardyce wants to bring in some fresh faces in attack and has identified Ntep as a player who could be a difference-maker for the Eagles over the second half of the season.
It’s believed that the 24-year-old winger would prefer a move to the Bundesliga this month, with Wolfsburg looking to sign him as a replacement for the recently departed Julian Draxler.
Ntep’s contract expires at the end of the season, and with no extension on the horizon, the Ligue 1 side face a real conundrum as to whether to cash-in on the France international now or to keep him for the remainder of the season and risk losing him on a free transfer.
Bakary Sako is tipped to leave the club this month amid interest from Birmingham, making Ntep a like-for-like replacement in the squad.
