In search of some January reinforcements, Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign Robbie Brady from Norwich this month, according to the Birmingham Mail.
With Pape Souare out for the foreseeable future, Sam Allardyce wants to bring in another left-back during the January transfer window to help fix Palace’s leaky defence, although Brady would contest he’s more of a winger.
Robbie Brady, a player with significant Premier League and international experience, would make logical sense to bring in this month, but Palace face competition from Aston Villa for his signature.
The Eagles have reportedly submitted a bid worth £7m in order to steal a march on Aston Villa but it’s believed that Norwich will hold out for nearer £12m to sell Brady.
Villa boss Steve Bruce worked with Brady at Hull and is prepared to offer him a £50,000-a-week to persuade him to make the move to the Midlands, but the offer of Premier League football again might be too good to turn down.
